Atika is the lady in charge but we are pleased to say not as formidable as her whistle when she needs to make announcements. She is a qualified ESOL teacher having also studied at level three and four with a City & Guilds certificate and also a “Certificate of Education” at Leeds University. She can also speak Arabic fluently

Geoffrey

Geoffrey spent forty years as a social worker in Leeds. He is now retired which has given him time to be a voluntary assistant teacher of ESOL. He enjoys English language and equally he loves meeting people from different backgrounds. He says laughter is like medicine and those that spend time with him would agree as they enjoy his easy-going assistance.

Alison is a qualified ESOL teacher at level 5 City & Guilds and has the PGCE Certificate in teacher training at Huddersfield University. She has been teaching for fifteen years and can speak a little Arabic. Like the other teachers she has a great sense of fun and makes lessons easy for those looking to develop their English.

Julia

Julia travels the furthest to teach in our classes. Like the other teachers she wants the atmosphere to be enjoyable and has a deep care for those who she teaches. She has a Cambridge (CELTA) certificate and is fluent in Arabic.

Lyn

Lyn has spent a good part of her adult life in either Africa or Asia. She now is based in Leeds and we are very pleased that her international expertise is being used in our classes. She has her Trinity Cert TESOL from Leeds English Language School.
